The abstract acts as the second major section of the document and typically begins on the second page of the paper. It is often written after the rest of your paper has been completed. Unlike in other paragraphs in the paper, the first line of the abstract should not be indented five spaces from the left margin. Like the rest of the paper, the pages of the abstract should be double-spaced and typed in Times New Roman, 12 pt.
